Cupping therapy is one of the oldest natural healing therapies in the world, used by Ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Chinese. Cupping dates back to approximately 200 AD. Cupping may be applied to neck, shoulders, upper arms, back, sacral area, abdomen, hip, thigh and calves.
The Difference Between Bruising and Cupping Discoloration
Bruising is caused by impact trauma with capillary breakage and a reactionary rush of fluids to the damaged location due to the tissue injury.
In correctly performed suction cupping therapy, the temporary cupping discoloration that results, also known as “sha,” is NOT painful or due to a compression injury. Although the discoloration may appear as a “bruise,” it evolves through a different mechanism. Traditional Chinese Medicine regards the appearance of sha as an indication that toxins and stagnation are being pulled to the surface of the body, restoring healthy Qi and blood flow below.
The suction resulting from negative pressure, improves circulation by bringing fresh, oxygenated, nutrient-rich blood to replenish the tissues and accelerate the healing process. Cupping is not an irritant to the skin or body. It draws inflammation out and does not add to it. Cupping is warming and promotes the free flow of Qi and blood in the meridians, dispelling cold dampness, diminishing swelling and pains.
For massage cupping, the strong vacuum will mimic the rolling action of deep tissue massage without the discomfort. Contracted, tense and painful muscle tissue will soften with massage cupping.
Benefits of Cupping

- Facilitates the movement if Qi and blood systemically and locally

- Relieves inflammation

Connective Tissue Therapy $75 per session
Full body massage using deep tissue work with roller and vacuum suction to improve movement and flexibility. A must for every tight and stressed body. Also great for toning and slimming.
Body Toning $75; Series of 12 = $810
The P.R. Cell is a multi-function apparatus which efficiently combines the vacuum massage technique with that of “palper-rouler’’, or palpate-roll, a French technique. The tissue is drawn up between rollers to lift, fold, and roll the skin and subcutaneous tissue. This action drains the lymph fluid and softens the fibrous connective tissue, thereby remodeling the fatty layer and reducing the dimpling and orange peel effects of cellulite. The P.R. Cell toning machine works to tone and lift your body. For optimum results, combine with body wraps.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage $65
Lymphatic massage is a vital part to improving overall health. It is great for clients who want to receive massage without the pressure of a deep tissue massage, while attaining similar benefits and balance. A proper functioning lymphatic system is crucial to our body’s ability to drain stagnant fluids, detoxify, and regenerate tissues. It absorbs and filters out toxins, excess fluid, proteins, electrolytes, and foreign substances while maintaining a healthy immune system. The lymphatic system is complex, comprised primarily of lymph vessels and nodes working in cooperation to accomplish their task.
